For Individuals

Your home. Your next
chapter. Your way.
Moving from the home you’ve loved for years is one of life’s big decisions. Whether you’re heading to a retirement village, into aged care, or somewhere smaller and easier to manage, we’ll help you do it calmly, at your own pace, and on your own terms.

It’s more than selling a house
-
Your home holds a lifetime: furniture you chose together, cupboards full of things you’ve kept for a reason, a garden you’ve tended for decades. Deciding what comes with you, what goes to family, and what moves on to someone new can feel overwhelming. Then the home itself still needs to be sold.
 -
Scout Aged Care & Retirement Solutions brings all of it together. You’ll have one person to call, one plan to follow, and a team that respects the fact that these are your belongings, your home and your decisions.
Plan: Work out what needs to happen
We start by sitting down with you to understand your home, your plans and your preferred timing. Then we put it all in a written Property Transition Roadmap, so you know what happens next and in what order.
Sell:Â Independent advice on selling your home
Scout isn’t a selling agent, and that’s deliberate. We ask a shortlist of reputable local agents for their proposals, compare their strategies and fees, and give you an independent recommendation. You choose the agent. We then stay alongside you through the campaign, the offers and settlement, explaining each step in plain language.
We work through your belongings with you room by room, and never faster than you’re comfortable with. Together we decide what comes with you, what goes to family or friends, what can be sold or donated, and what can be let go. We also arrange whatever the home needs before sale, such as repairs, gardening, cleaning and styling.
How we help
Our service follows four simple stages.
You can use just one, or have us look after all four.
Prepare:Â Sorting your belongings and readying your home
Retirement apartments and aged care rooms are smaller than most family homes, so we help you choose the furniture and keepsakes that will fit and matter most. We coordinate the removalists, packing and unpacking, and liaise with your retirement village or aged care provider, so your new place feels like home from day one.
Move:Â Settling into your new home
Would you like your family involved?
Some people want their children or relatives closely involved. Others prefer to handle things themselves and tell the family once it’s sorted. Either way is completely fine. If you’d like, we can include family members in updates and decisions, or work with your solicitor, financial adviser or anyone else you trust.

If someone else in your family is helping with your move, they might find our page for families useful.

You don't need to have it all figured out before you call.

We're happy to start with a conversation. Understanding your situation, your timeframe and what needs to happen next. There's no obligation and no pressure.
